* -=> Le groupe était constitué à l'origine de 4 bombes originaires de Houston au Texas, Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, LaTavia et LeTola, chanteuses de R&B, toutes les 4 âgées de 23 à 25 ans.
* -=> Elles ont grandi ensemble et formées le groupe alors qu'elles se trouvaient en Highschool, l'équivalent américain de notre lycée.
* -=> Leur carrière professionnelle débute en 1996 par une participation sur la BO du film Men In Black. Une rencontre et un single (No, No, No) vont leur permettre de se faire connaître du grand public.
* -=> Depuis, sous l'aile de Wycleff Jean elles enchaînent les tubes qui sont, dans un premier temps, regroupés dans l'album "The writings on the wall".
* -=> Le groupe à évolué au cours de l'année 2000 avec le départ de LaToya et LaTavia et l'arrivée de Michelle et Farrah. Une histoire de gros sous serait à l'origine de ces changements, LeToya et LeTavia estimant être sous payées et sous médiatisées.
Michelle et Farrah étaient danseuses et choristes pour le groupe auparavant.
Depuis Farrah a quitté l'équipe qui n'est plus désormais qu'un trio pour des raisons personnelles.
* -=> On ne présente plus désormais Beyoncé, égérie du groupe et néo-star ultra-médiatique. A la fois chanteuse, actrice, représentante en cosmétique et compagne de Jay-Z sa carrière est complète.
Les deux autres membres ont entamé, elles aussi de beaux parcours solos, peut être moins médiatique, mais tout aussi talentueuses.
